Manufacturing Engineer – Uncrewed Aerial Systems

About the role

Insitu Pacific is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the design, development, implementation and sustainment of manufacturing processes for Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and related components. You will work closely with production, MRO and engineering teams to improve throughput, yield and repeatability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions and process flows for assigned UAS assemblies or production lines.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support to production and MRO teams, investigate and resolve moderate‑scope manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyse production and quality data, apply basic statistical methods and problem‑solving tools to identify trends and validate improvements.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, small capital improvements) to reduce cost, cycle time or non‑conformance.
• Review new and modified UAS designs for manufacturability and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation such as SOPs, routing sheets and inspection criteria.
• Develop and deliver training to production staff and junior engineers on new processes and best practices.
• Support first‑article and production acceptance testing, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
