Manager - Securitisation Credit Risk

About the role

The Securitisation Risk Team manages the risk of a diverse portfolio of securitisation vehicles and diversified financial companies. As Manager - Securitisation Credit Risk, you will work individually and across the team to oversee risk on a portfolio of complex customers. The team sits within Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) Risk Management, which oversees and manages risk for the bank's relationships with corporates, banks, non-bank financial institutions, government clients and institutional investors.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, interpret, prepare and review credit papers across a diverse portfolio.
• Use internal and external data to monitor risks, assess the impact of counterparty-specific and macroeconomic risks on clients and recommend strategies to minimise risk.
• Support senior risk managers so that transaction or portfolio credit risks are identified, managed, measured, monitored and reported.
• Work with front-line colleagues to understand customer strategies and support growth opportunities.
• Help redesign processes and reporting so that insights are more accessible and impactful for a wider range of stakeholders.

Required profile

• Understanding of credit risk for corporate or institutional lending; securitisation experience is an advantage.
• Proactive approach to finding problems and solutions.
• Strong time management and prioritisation, able to work under guidance.
• Collaborative working relationships across internal functions.
• Curiosity and willingness to innovate.

Required skills

• Problem-solving and decision-making, with experience using data and visualisations to drive insights.
• Ability to use data and visualisations to support risk analysis.
