Manager Level Communications Consultant

About the role

Sodali & Co is seeking a Manager‑level Communications Consultant to join its Greater Melbourne team. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on the design and delivery of strategic communications programmes for corporate clients navigating shareholder and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and edit press releases, corporate announcements and other external communications.
• Develop key messages, communication plans and multi‑channel content to support client objectives.
• Coordinate communication activities across internal and external teams, ensuring consistency and timeliness.
• Lead project management for multiple client assignments, tracking milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor media and market developments, producing insights and reports for clients.
• Prepare client presentations, reports and thought‑leadership material.

Required profile

• Strong corporate communications background with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proven experience in strategic communications and press‑release development.
• Demonstrated project‑management capabilities in fast‑paced environments.
• Experience in corporate, financial or professional‑services settings; familiarity with shareholder and governance contexts is a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Business, Journalism or related field; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
• Comfort with data‑driven insights, media‑monitoring tools and standard office software.
