Manager - External Audit

About the role

KPMG's Audit teams deliver specialised audit and assurance services, including high-quality, independent financial statement audits that help maintain investor confidence. This External Audit Manager role is based in Brisbane and involves working with high-profile audit clients while taking accountability for engagement delivery, client service and business development. It also offers exposure to some of the firm's largest audit clients, career development opportunities and collaboration across KPMG's global network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage engagements for high-profile clients, with accountability for audit delivery, client service and business development.
• Execute advisory-related engagements.
• Build strong relationships with audit clients and play a key role in delivering quality assurance and reporting.
• Provide engaging leadership and support the growth and development of team members.
• Contribute to client outcomes by applying audit experience and an understanding of business and industry.
• Collaborate with colleagues across KPMG's global network.

Required profile

• A proven track record of high performance and success.
• Demonstrated team leadership capability.
• Experience building strong client relationships and contributing to quality audit and assurance outcomes.
• Relevant professional qualifications applicable to audit and assurance work, such as a CA qualification or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.

Required skills

• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
