Manager, Corporate Tax

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is looking for a Manager to join its high-performing Corporate Tax team in Sydney. The team gives tailored advice on every aspect of the corporate tax process, helping clients with tax audits, international tax issues, corporate governance obligations and mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and deal structuring. The role offers flexible and hybrid working, and part-time options are available.

Key responsibilities

• Apply expertise in formal and informal engagements, mixing compliance and advisory work for corporate clients
• Manage overall client engagement, including relationship management and tax compliance and advisory
• Build client relationships and identify growth opportunities
• Take part in business development opportunities
• Support continuous improvement in tax compliance and process-based activities
• Coach, support and lead other team members

Required profile

• University degree in a related discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Business or Commerce, or a relevant professional qualification
• CA, CPA, CTA or other relevant industry accreditation
• Demonstrated experience and technical skills in corporate tax and advisory, ideally in a public practice environment
• Proactive approach to client relationships and cross-selling, with a strong sense of ownership
• Experience leading, coaching and mentoring less experienced team members
