Manager, Business Development – Acceptance & Partnerships

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Business Development – Acceptance & Partnerships to accelerate growth of commercial payment solutions across Australia and New Zealand. The role will expand acceptance, enable suppliers and build strategic partnerships within B2B ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase adoption of Mastercard commercial payment solutions across key B2B ecosystems.
• Lead supplier enablement initiatives with issuers, acquirers and ecosystem partners to expand commercial card acceptance and accelerate onboarding.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with acquirers, payment facilitators and acceptance partners to unlock new B2B payment flows.
• Identify, originate and develop a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities, managing the full lifecycle from business case to launch.
• Represent Mastercard at customer engagements, partner forums and industry events to advance the commercial payments strategy.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, payments or fintech.
• Proven track record of originating, negotiating and commercialising partnerships with measurable outcomes.
• Strong understanding of commercial payments, embedded finance, virtual cards and supplier enablement.
• Experience working with issuers, acquirers, payment facilitators and corporate customers in ANZ or APAC markets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills, with ability to influence senior decision‑makers.
