About the role

Checkout.com is expanding its Go‑To‑Market team in Australia and is looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager to own the relationship with key merchants and partners. You will act as the primary business advisor throughout integration and beyond, championing the product and delivering value‑added guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop merchant‑specific account development plans.
• Build high‑touch, consultative relationships with merchants through regular communication.
• Provide expertise, education and guidance to help merchants create and execute a global payments strategy.
• Project‑manage merchant deliverables and timelines.
• Deeply understand Checkout.com’s products, services and partner ecosystem to meet merchant needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Legal, Integration, Support) to influence internal stakeholders and product roadmaps, ensuring an outstanding merchant experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payments, tech sales, banking, consulting or a similarly results‑driven field.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate and influence at all organisational levels.
• Tenacity, urgency and a passion for solving complex merchant challenges.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a nascent team.
