Management Accountant

About the role

RCR Mining Technologies is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join its Finance team at the Bunbury head office. The role blends strong technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic decision‑making across manufacturing, parts sales and field services.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to deliver financial reporting, analysis, insights and recommendations that drive informed business decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, month‑end reporting and performance review processes for assigned portfolios.
• Identify profitability drivers, business risks and opportunities to improve financial and operational performance.
• Provide financial modelling, business case development, scenario analysis, tender support, pricing reviews and contract management assistance.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, financial controls and governance requirements while balancing commercial needs.
• Support audit activities, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce or related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting, commercial finance or finance business partnering.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to influence decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Financial modelling and business case development.
• Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial governance.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (or similar ERP systems).
