Management Accountant – Commercially Focused Role

About the role

Join a large hospitality organisation with three venues across Western Sydney, including a site adjacent to the new Western Sydney International Airport. Reporting to the CFO, you will turn financial data into actionable insights and partner with operations to drive commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO to enable strategic decision‑making and implement robust finance processes.
• Analyse budgets, forecasts, revenue, costs and variances; support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Develop accurate reporting dashboards to monitor financial and non‑financial KPIs.
• Perform variance analysis against budget/forecast and prepare consolidated monthly financial and management reports.
• Conduct margin analysis, cost reviews, profitability reporting and manage inventory accounting.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve profitability.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; CPA/CA qualification or working towards it is highly regarded.
• Previous management accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, clubs, gaming, hotels, restaurants or retail.
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow principles and solid budgeting/forecasting capability.
