Management Accountant - Automotive Dealer Group

About the role

A large, well-established automotive dealer group is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for its head office in South Western Sydney. The role covers the franchised new car dealership operations and involves close interaction with dealership management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and franchise partner reporting
• Lodge BAS and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Handle EFT approvals and maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Complete CNP (Core Non-Negotiable Procedures) files and associated requirements
• Review receivables and help achieve timely collections
• Contribute to annual budget preparation
• Support the Financial Controller in meeting the group's financial reporting objectives

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Management Accountant in a franchised new car dealership is essential
• Appropriate qualification, holding a CA or CPA, or currently studying towards one
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, franchise reporting, BAS, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, receivables and budgeting
• Ability to work with Financial Controllers and dealership management teams
• Applicants must be physically located in Australia and be Australian or New Zealand citizens or hold a permanent residency visa; only candidates with relevant industry experience will be considered
