Maintenance Technician – Rotation Shift

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join its Australian team. You will work on a rotating schedule – two weeks on day shift followed by two weeks on afternoon shift – supporting the reliability of advanced material handling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to minimise downtime.
• Participate in shift rotations (Day: 6 am‑2 pm, Afternoon: 2 pm‑10 pm) with a 15% loading premium.

Required profile

• Australian Trade Qualification – Cert III Engineering Mechanical Trade.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and prior maintenance experience.
• Effective communication skills with both customers and team members.
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems; automation or CMMS experience is a plus.
