Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the team at Novotel Sydney Darling Square. In this full‑time position you will ensure the smooth operation of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities by responding quickly to maintenance requests and performing routine checks.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to daily maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Conduct plant rounds, identify faulty equipment and arrange repairs.
• Maintain equipment and water reticulation systems to keep them reliable and efficient.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to restore out‑of‑order rooms and areas promptly.
• Record all maintenance activities, including completed work and preventive‑maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts throughout the week.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a range of small hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
