Maintenance Person – Laboratory Facility

About the role

Join Bureau Veritas' laboratory team as a Maintenance Person, ensuring the smooth operation of critical testing equipment and facility infrastructure. This full‑time, Monday‑Friday day‑shift position offers hands‑on work with modern laboratory machinery in a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on laboratory equipment such as crushers, mills, and sieve shakers.
• Conduct routine inspections, service belts, grease moving parts, and tighten hardware.
• Maintain facility elements including walls, cabinets, doors, windows, and electrical fixtures.
• Manage plumbing and drainage systems, unclog drains, and service water‑wash stations.
• Assemble and modify safety cages and custom shelving to laboratory specifications.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, keeping work areas safe and free of debris.
• Operate hand and power tools safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Move and position heavy machinery and load sample delivery vehicles as required.

Required profile

• Current Forklift License and a valid driver’s licence.
• Proven experience in equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, or a related trade.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem‑solving ability.
• Safety‑conscious and committed to maintaining health and safety standards.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented and able to work well in a team.
