Maintenance Fitter – Plant Operations

About the role

The Maintenance Fitter will ensure safe, continuous operation of the plant by performing fault diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. This full‑time permanent position offers flexible working arrangements and overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on pumps, compressors, high‑pressure valves and related equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and assist in planning shutdowns.
• Supervise on‑site contractors and document all maintenance activities.
• Fabricate components and conduct minor welding repairs using blueprints and schematics.
• Set up and operate metal‑working equipment such as lathes, drill presses and grinders.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Australia) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with pumps, compressors, high‑pressure valves, and mechanical plant equipment.
• Valid forklift licence; EWP, confined‑space and working‑at‑heights licences are highly advantageous.
• Computer literacy and ability to work overtime as required.
