About the role
Visy is seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join its recycling operation. The role involves maintaining, repairing and improving fixed plant and equipment across the site. It is a full‑time, 8‑hour day shift position, Monday to Friday with optional overtime on Saturdays.
Key responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance, fault finding and breakdown response on site equipment.
- Carry out welding, fabrication and boilermaking repairs as required.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks and support continuous improvement projects.
- Assist in planning and prioritising daily maintenance activities.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site procedures.
- Contribute to plant upgrades and reliability improvements.
Required profile
- Trade‑qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent).
- Experience in an FMCG manufacturing or recycling environment.
- Strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and a proactive attitude.
