Maintenance Fitter – Day Shift

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Maintenance Fitter to join our day‑shift team (Mon‑Fri 6:00 am‑2:30 pm) at one of our food manufacturing sites. The role is permanent and focuses on keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production and engineering teams to communicate equipment status, especially during shift changes.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards and support a safe working environment.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities to boost equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis with the Maintenance Manager and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain registers, logs and systems that track repairs, notifications and work activities.

Required profile

• Minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Fitting and Turning.
• Advanced Boiler licence preferred (not mandatory).
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to a safe work environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Full work rights in Australia.
