Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Coordinator to join a leading Australian manufacturer in Bundaberg. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will oversee the planned and preventative maintenance programme, leading a team of Electrical and Mechanical Maintainers to maximise equipment reliability and support safe, efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planned and preventative maintenance activities across the site.
• Plan and prioritise daily maintenance workloads.
• Lead and support a team of Electrical and Mechanical Maintainers.
• Collaborate closely with Production to minimise downtime and improve plant reliability.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and spare parts inventory.
• Create and manage work orders and purchase orders using SAP.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
• Support root‑cause investigations and maintenance improvement projects.

Required profile

• Background in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Aspirations to develop into a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor role.

Required skills

• SAP (experience creating and managing work and purchase orders).
• Electrical maintenance expertise.
• Mechanical maintenance expertise.
