Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator will oversee field, workshop and fixed‑plant maintenance activities, primarily based in the open‑cut mining environment. You will ensure safe and efficient upkeep of mobile and field equipment while driving continuous improvement in maintenance performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage safe and efficient maintenance of mobile and field equipment in the open‑cut mine.
• Coordinate field, workshop and fixed‑plant maintenance tasks, with a focus on field‑based work.
• Lead initiatives to improve maintenance reliability and equipment availability.
• Support the Crew Maintenance Supervisor in planning and execution of maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Understanding of how equipment availability impacts mine output.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a field or workshop maintenance team (highly desirable).
• Trade qualification as an electrician, diesel mechanic (plant), fitter‑machinist or boilermaker, or a comparable field.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and open‑cut mining operations.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive, innovative mindset.
