Maintenance and Supply Assurance Officer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Maintenance and Supply Assurance Officer to drive maintenance assurance, operational performance, and through‑life support for a complex maritime sustainment program. This permanent, full‑time position is based at Garden Island, Sydney and works closely with stakeholders to ensure capability readiness and risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assurance for Annual, One‑plus‑One and Five‑Year Work Programs and analyse continuous schedule risk.
• Identify and implement initiatives to reduce through‑life support costs and eliminate unnecessary maintenance activities.
• Review vendor equipment sourcing for commonality, life‑cycle cost, Australianisation and supportability.
• Contribute to programmatic assurance reports across Stage Gate processes and monitor procurement and sparing risks.

Required profile

• Recognised Vocational Education and Training qualification in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Maintenance Assurance within a Defence environment.
• Working knowledge of Naval systems such as CMT‑U and AMPS.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively and autonomously.
