Mainline Locomotive Driver

About the role

SCT Logistics, Australia's largest privately owned rail and freight logistics company, is hiring a Mainline Locomotive Driver in Broken Hill, NSW. Reporting to the Depot Manager, the driver ensures safe and efficient shunting activities while performing duties in line with SCT Rail's policies and work instructions. The position is permanent and full time.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient shunting activities
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with SCT Rail's policies and work instructions
• Commit to safety in the workplace and comply with SCT's OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
• Maintain a strong customer focus and work in a team environment, sometimes unsupervised

Required profile

• Shunting and train driving qualifications
• Valid C Class driver's licence
• Reasonably fit and agile to meet the demands of the job
• Strong commitment to safety
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
