Machine Operator

About the role

Emerson is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join its manufacturing team. You will work with both manual and CNC equipment to produce high‑quality components while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, vertical boring machines (VBR) and CNC turning and milling machines.
• Program, edit and optimise CNC programs using Fanuc, Okuma or Siemens systems.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds and work‑holding devices for each job.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify that parts meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production and customer requirements while adhering to Emerson’s safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Qualified manual or CNC machinist with ability to interpret machining drawings.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Reliable, proactive attitude and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Manual machining equipment operation (lathes, VBR).
• CNC turning and milling operation.
• CNC programming on Fanuc, Okuma and Siemens platforms.
• Use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
