Machine Operator

About the role

Orora Beverage is expanding its cans business in Queensland and needs a reliable Machine Operator to join a new high‑speed production line. You will work on a rotating 12‑hour shift, reporting to the shift supervisor, and help maintain the safety, quality and efficiency of the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality and manufacturing standards on the shop floor.
• Operate high‑speed machinery, perform changeovers, troubleshoot issues and make machine adjustments.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks and assist with equipment changeovers.
• Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and support world‑class operational performance.
• Work proactively as an enthusiastic team member.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Availability for 24‑hour rotating shift patterns.
• Manufacturing or printing experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
