About the role
The University of Queensland’s Property & Facilities Division is looking for a practical, customer‑focused Logistics and Stores Assistant to keep the St Lucia campus running smoothly. You will join a small, collaborative Warehouse and Mailroom team, supporting equipment moves, deliveries, waste services and major university events.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute furniture, equipment and small office relocations across UQ campuses.
- Support safe collection, movement and disposal of waste, bulk e‑waste, furniture and other materials.
- Communicate with customers to schedule work requests, maintain records and manage booking, inventory and warehouse systems.
- Pick, pack, dispatch and deliver store orders, internal and external mail, library materials and goods between campuses.
Required profile
- Completion of Year 12 or a Certificate II with at least two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Experience in furniture removals, manual handling or moving bulky items safely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deliver reliable customer service to diverse building occupants.
- Current Queensland Open Driver Licence; confidence driving a small truck on a car licence.
- Forklift licence is desirable.

What we offer
- Base salary $70,319‑$77,400 per year plus 17% superannuation.
- Up to 26 weeks paid parental and primary care leave.
