Locum Occupational Therapist (TCP) - Regional South Australia

About the role

MARS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a 3-month locum contract in Regional South Australia, starting 14 December 2026. The role supports a well-established regional health service's Transition Care Program (TCP), working within a supportive multidisciplinary team to help clients regain independence and improve their functional abilities through rehabilitation-focused care.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise a varied rehabilitation caseload
• Carry out comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to support clients' functional abilities and independence
• Support clients, families and carers throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and facilitate referrals
• Monitor client progress, complete reassessments and evaluate treatment outcomes
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration
• Previous experience in rehabilitation, aged care, community health or transition care highly regarded
• Confident managing a caseload with a high level of clinical independence
• Current driver's licence and Australian working rights (Working Holiday Visas welcome)
