Locum General Sonographer - Albany, WA

About the role

Aussie Locums is recruiting an experienced general sonographer for a locum placement in Albany, Western Australia, from Monday 11 January to Friday 5 February 2027. The work mixes hospital and private clinic duties, with a roster that can include four-day weeks and longer days if the sonographer wants full-time hours. Further flexible placements are available from mid-March through to July 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inpatient scanning and arterial vascular ultrasound.
• Handle routine after-hours presentations, including assessment of mastitis.
• Prioritise and manage an inpatient list, recognise clinical limitations and escalate appropriately.
• Share the hospital on-call roster, with the final arrangement negotiated around the candidate.

Required profile

• Experienced general sonographer comfortable working independently in hospital and clinic settings.
• Willingness to share the on-call roster.
• Helpful but not essential: paediatric scanning, broader breast experience and light checking of an advanced trainee's work; no primary clinical supervision is expected.
