Local Area Marketing Specialist - Owned Media & Community

About the role

ALH, which owns and operates more than 350 Australian pubs, is hiring four Local Area Marketing Specialists - Owned Media & Community for its growing Local Area Marketing team. You will manage day-to-day owned digital channels and coordinate local community partnership activations across a portfolio of venues, reporting to the Local Area Marketing Manager - Owned Media & Community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, generate and publish content across venue social media channels, website venue pages, Google Business Profiles and local directory listings
• Keep trading hours, menus, contact details, event schedules and offer mechanics accurate across all owned platforms
• Monitor local venue social channels and respond to guest enquiries in a brand-aligned tone
• Create localised digital content using approved templates, brand assets and local photography
• Ingest campaign toolkits and offer mechanics from the Campaign Delivery team and schedule their digital deployment
• Run local community initiatives, sports club sponsorships and business partnerships, coordinating promotion, signage and event support
• Track execution requests against SLAs and ensure content complies with brand standards, privacy laws, ABAC, RSA, RSG and state gaming regulations

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in digital channel management, social media, content creation or local marketing, ideally in hospitality or retail
• Tertiary qualification in marketing (or equivalent experience); hospitality exposure highly regarded
• Meticulous attention to detail on spelling, dates, pricing and offer mechanics
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with venue teams, partners and community groups

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Meta Business Suite and Google Business Profile
• CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar
• Social media management and scheduling
• Use of data to inform plans and drive community engagement
