Lifestyle Assistant

About the role

Mercy Health's well-established lifestyle team in Ballarat is looking for the final member to complete its group. The position suits someone who is working towards their qualification or who is an experienced and qualified Lifestyle Assistant. Residents enjoy the lifestyle program activities, and the team works with vulnerable members of society every day.

Required profile

• Resilient, compassionate and committed to patient-centred care.
• Preferably memory support unit experience and an understanding of the lifestyle needs of residents who are cognitively impaired.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to resident emotional and spiritual care and management.
• Ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team.
• Recent police check.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Passport, birth certificate and/or proof of working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability to change and problem-solving.

What we offer

• Casual employment.
• Pay of up to $34.4984 per hour, plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits.
