Licensed Electrician - Signage & Fuel Stations

About the role

A national construction and maintenance business looking after a large network of retail and commercial sites across NSW is recruiting a licensed electrician for its Sydney team. The work is a mix of maintenance and project work, with a steady pipeline of jobs running well into 2027. Most sites are open and trading while you work, so clear communication with site staff and the public is important.

Key responsibilities

• Planned maintenance, plus reactive and breakdown call outs
• Fault finding on control circuits, light and power and equipment
• Installing EV charging systems, including DC fast chargers
• Switchboard upgrades, audits and site surveys
• Installing, repairing and commissioning fuel systems, above and below ground
• Lighting, signage power and energy efficiency upgrades
• Some civil work for EV sites, such as conduit, pits and footings
• Preparing test results, Certificates of Compliance and close-out paperwork on a laptop

Required profile

• Licensed electrician with a NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate (or interstate equivalent)
• 2+ years post trade in maintenance and/or installation
• Construction White Card and current manual driver's licence
• Willingness to travel for regional jobs, usually no more than two weeks at a time
• Hazardous area, EV charger or service station experience is a bonus, as are EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Test and Tag or MR/HR licences
