Level 2 System Support Engineer – Microsoft 365 & Azure

About the role

We are seeking a customer‑focused Level 2 Support Engineer to join our growing Managed Service Provider in Melbourne. The role offers a blend of remote and onsite work, supporting a diverse portfolio of small‑ and medium‑size business clients across Microsoft cloud and networking technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support remotely and onsite, troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows, hardware, software and networking issues.
• Manage user accounts, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and email services.
• Assist senior engineers with Azure cloud administration and Microsoft 365 environment projects.
• Support Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments, including printers, laptops, desktops and peripheral devices.
• Diagnose networking problems such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi and switch configurations.
• Maintain backup and endpoint security solutions, and ensure accurate ticket documentation.
• Escalate complex incidents when required while meeting SLA timeframes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in an IT support, service desk, system exposure or MSP environment.
• Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of Azure and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Familiarity with Active Directory user administration and Windows Server fundamentals.
• Fundamental networking knowledge covering DNS, DHCP, VPN and TCP/IP.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication skills.
