Level 2 SOC Analyst – Night Shift

About the role

We are looking for a Level 2 Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our Perth team on a night‑shift schedule (6 pm‑12 am AWST, Wed‑Sun). The role focuses on detecting, investigating and responding to cyber threats across a range of cloud and endpoint security platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, validate, triage and respond to alerts in Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon and other SIEM/EDR tools.
• Perform deep technical analysis of complex incidents across endpoint, identity, cloud and network environments.
• Lead or support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery and post‑incident review.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using telemetry from CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Sentinel and related platforms.
• Onboard new customers, data sources and security technologies, ensuring data quality and end‑to‑end alerting.
• Develop, test, tune and maintain detection rules, correlation logic, KQL queries and SOAR playbooks.
• Identify gaps in visibility or logging and recommend improvements.
• Produce high‑quality documentation such as incident reports, knowledge articles and SOC playbooks.

Required profile

• Passionate about defending organisations against cyber threats.
• Experience with security alert investigation and incident response.
• Ability to work night‑shift hours and collaborate with a multicultural team.
