Legal Counsel – In‑house (Hybrid, 3 days/week)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Legal Counsel to join a stable Queensland‑based infrastructure company. The role is hybrid, with three days per week on site, and offers the chance to influence strategic decisions and support growth projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and negotiate commercial contracts, including customer, contractor, employee and consultancy agreements.
• Support capital projects, procurement activities and construction contracts.
• Advise managers on employment, work health and safety, environmental and industrial relations matters.
• Deliver strategic guidance on disputes, claims and other contentious issues, managing dispute processes and negotiations.
• Offer governance and compliance advice to the Board and senior leadership, ensuring statutory and regulatory obligations are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial and corporate law, preferably within a regulated corporate environment.
• Proven ability to handle contracts, construction projects and dispute resolution autonomously.
• Strong commercial acumen and pragmatic approach to risk management.
