About the role
QBE is seeking a Dispute Resolution Specialist to join the Internal Dispute Resolution team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will manage end‑to‑end complaints and disputes across all General Insurance products, ensuring fair outcomes for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate responses to all complaints and disputes, delivering fair resolutions.
- Identify systemic causes of dissatisfaction and contribute to solution development.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Offer subject‑matter expertise on decisions, the General Insurance Code of Practice, and the Insurance Contracts Act.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations when handling disputes.
- Prepare recommendations for process, product, and service improvements to reduce recurrence.
Required profile
- Proven experience in dispute resolution within the insurance sector.
- Strong practical knowledge of general insurance principles.
- Understanding of risk, compliance, and relevant policy frameworks.
- Commitment to delivering gold‑standard service to customers and stakeholders.
- Solution‑focused mindset with excellent problem‑solving and relationship‑building abilities.
