Lecturer / Senior Lecturer - Information Systems & Technology Management

About the role

The School of Information Systems & Technology Management (SISTM) at UNSW Business School is hiring two tenure-track positions at either Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Information Systems, Business Analytics or Operations Management. The role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports. The appointment level depends on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lecturers (Level B): conduct scholarly research and professional activity nationally and internationally, and make substantive contributions to teaching, engagement and leadership.
• Senior Lecturers (Level C): additionally conduct internationally recognised research and make significant contributions to educational leadership and excellence.

Required profile

• PhD in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Operations Management or a closely related field by the end of 2026.
• Publishing record in leading IS or OM conferences and journals (e.g. UTD24, Financial Times 50, AIS Basket of 8).
• Experience teaching technical (AI, database, networking) or business analytics courses is highly desirable, as is experience with UX design.
• Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Experience with educational technologies, online delivery and industry engagement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

• Remuneration: Level B from $133,065 and Level C from $161,619, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
