Lecturer in Therapeutics and Pharmacy Practice

About the role

The University of Tasmania seeks a part‑time Lecturer to inspire and educate the next generation of pharmacists. Based in Hobart, the role combines contemporary, clinically focused teaching with opportunities to develop a research profile in therapeutics and pharmacy practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality online and face‑to‑face teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programmes.
• Coordinate and develop curriculum units covering therapeutics and pharmacy practice.
• Engage in scholarly research and contribute to publications in relevant fields.
• Build and maintain productive links with professional bodies, industry and the wider community.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligibility for registration).
• Experience in pharmacy practice across clinical settings.
• Demonstrated ability to teach in online, clinical and face‑to‑face environments.
• Record of establishing effective professional and community collaborations.

Required skills

• Current registration to work with vulnerable people (or ability to obtain).
• Valid C‑class driver’s licence.
• Ability to travel intrastate between campuses as needed.
