Learning Support Officer (Start Jan 2027)

About the role

St Catherine's community is dedicated to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in its care. The Learning Support Officer will assist teachers in delivering inclusive education, providing support to students in the classroom, and working with individual learners and small groups under the direction of the Principal and Learning Diversity Leader. The role begins on 27 January 2027 and is a full‑time position within the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Support students in the classroom under teacher direction, ensuring their learning needs are met.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to individual students.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Principal or Learning Diversity Leader, including office work.

Required profile

• Completion of a Certificate IV in Education Support or an equivalent qualification (preferred).
• Current First Aid training.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for children.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
