Leading Hand / Sub Foreman – Build-to-Rent

About the role

An established Tier 2 builder is looking for an ambitious Leading Hand / Sub Foreman to join its team on a large Build-to-Rent (BTR) project in Sydney. The client is a reputable Principal Contractor with a strong pipeline of work, and the role suits an upcoming Sub Foreman or an experienced Leading Hand who wants to work alongside an experienced team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site safety and OH&S
• Coordinate trades and subcontractors
• Assist in managing the construction programming
• Site set out and mark out
• Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
• Interpret and read plans

Required profile

• Carpentry trade background
• Preferably head contractor experience as a Sub-Foreman / Leading Hand, or experience in high-end homes or cottage work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to build relationships and liaise with external parties

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret detailed site plans and drawings
• Reading and interpreting plans
