Leading Hand Boilermaker

About the role

Heidelberg Materials Australia is looking for a skilled Leading Hand Boilermaker to join the maintenance team at the Wolffdene Quarry plant. This hands‑on leadership position is ideal for a qualified Fitter or Boilermaker with strong experience in fixed‑plant maintenance and a commitment to safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team of 2‑3 direct reports and coordinate external contractors.
• Perform maintenance tasks on fixed‑plant equipment, including confined‑space work, dogging, rigging and elevated work platform (EWP) operations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, conduct risk assessments and maintain documentation using tablets and digital tools.

Required profile

• Trade qualification as a Fitter or Boilermaker.
• Proven experience in fixed‑plant maintenance and strong understanding of WHS compliance.
• Reliable transport (no company vehicle provided).

Required skills

• Confined‑space certification.
• Dogging and rigging certification.
• EWP certification.
• Computer literacy and ability to use tablets for work documentation.
