Lead Receptionist

About the role

Lifecare, part of the APM Group, is seeking an organised, professional and hands-on Lead Receptionist to support the day-to-day operations of its clinic and keep a welcoming environment for clients and staff. The role is part-time, between 25 and 29 hours per week, and acts as a key point of contact for the reception team so the Practice Manager can focus on business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day clinic operations, including reception coverage, appointment coordination, client communication and a professional, welcoming environment.
• Act as the first point of contact for the reception team, giving guidance, support and task allocation.
• Coordinate rosters and help with forward planning for reception and clinical coverage under the Practice Manager.
• Build strong working relationships between allied health clinicians and administrative staff.
• Contribute to onboarding, training and ongoing development of reception team members with senior leaders.
• Monitor client experience, identify issues and support timely resolution of enquiries or complaints through the Practice Manager.
• Identify inefficiencies and help implement updated processes and best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years' experience in healthcare administration or a similar client-focused environment preferred.
• Proven experience as a key team player with strong communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and a commitment to an exceptional patient experience.
• Confidence implementing systems, following processes and maintaining compliance standards.
• Proactive, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinic.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Practice Management Systems.
