Lead – Audit Workforce Planning

About the role

ANZ’s Internal Audit function is seeking a Lead to centrally coordinate workforce planning, resourcing and scheduling. The role ensures the audit team has the right capacity and capability to deliver the approved audit plan and related assurance activities across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a centralised view of workforce capacity, demand and utilisation for audits and issue verification activities.
• Coordinate planning and scheduling of audits across divisions, ensuring work is appropriately staffed and sequenced.
• Support cross‑divisional and Group audits by allocating resources, managing interdependencies and resolving conflicts.
• Monitor delivery progress, identify resourcing risks and trigger timely escalations.
• Provide transparent reporting on staffing, vacancies, recruitment progress and capacity constraints.

Required profile

• Proven experience in audit workforce planning or similar resource coordination within a large organisation.
• Strong governance and operating discipline to enable efficient deployment of audit resources.
• Ability to produce a single trusted view of staffing and capacity for decision‑making.
