Lawyer – Workers' Compensation Litigation (Queensland)

About the role

Crown Law is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its WorkCover team in Queensland. The role offers intellectually stimulating legal work, flexible arrangements and a supportive public‑sector environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage litigation under Queensland's workers' compensation framework, from claim defence through pre‑court processes to trials and appeals.
• Provide high‑quality advice on liability, indemnity, quantum and settlement matters.
• Conduct advocacy or instruct counsel for conferences, mediations, courts and tribunals, including originating and interlocutory applications.
• Deliver strategic risk‑management and dispute‑resolution advice.
• Advise on complex claims involving asbestos, psychological injury, or third‑party indemnity disputes.

Required profile

• Legal qualification and admission to practice in Queensland.
• Demonstrated experience in workers' compensation litigation and case management.
• Ability to provide strategic legal advice and develop long‑term client partnerships.
• Strong advocacy skills for court and tribunal appearances.
