Laboratory Technician – Aggregates & Soils

About the role

We are seeking a permanent Laboratory Technician to join our NATA‑accredited team at the Narangba Laboratory. The role involves sampling and testing aggregates, sands and road base across multiple quarries and projects in southeast Queensland, providing hands‑on experience in both laboratory and field environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and test aggregate materials in the laboratory and on‑site.
• Analyse results and produce accurate reports.
• Perform equipment calibration and routine maintenance.
• Follow established procedures, work systems and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Support computer‑based data analysis and documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sampling and testing of aggregates (highly regarded).
• Familiarity with Main Roads testing standards (desirable).
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (desirable).
• Construction Industry White Card (desirable).
