Key Account Manager – Waste Management

About the role

Cleanaway, Australia's largest waste management company, is looking for a Key Account Manager based in Brisbane. The role drives customer retention, builds long-term partnerships and delivers commercial optimisation across a portfolio of strategic accounts, covering Queensland and the Northern Territory. It is a permanent, full-time position with travel on an as-needed basis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key accounts across total waste management services
• Deliver retention, renewals and revenue growth against portfolio targets
• Develop and execute account plans to maximise revenue, margin and share of wallet
• Lead contract renewals, pricing strategies and commercial negotiations
• Prepare and manage quotes, tenders and proposals
• Identify and deliver cross-sell opportunities across service lines
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a unified customer proposition
• Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline and forecasting data using tools such as Power BI and Salesforce

Required profile

• Proven experience managing key or national accounts in a multi-service or complex B2B environment
• Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen
• Consultative, retention-focused approach
• Experience in FMCG, waste, environmental services, logistics, infrastructure or industrial services is highly regarded

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, relationship management and influencing capability
• CRM, reporting and account planning discipline
• Power BI and Salesforce
