Key Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to lead national retail partnerships across Australia. This role is ideal for someone currently managing key accounts within beauty, skincare, or FMCG companies, looking to take ownership of strategic retail relationships and help scale a high‑growth brand in the Australian market.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage national retail accounts across beauty specialty and pharmacy channels
• Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key retail partners
• Develop annual account strategy and growth plans
• Negotiate commercial terms, ranging, and promotional activity
• Manage trade investment and promotional budgets with ROI accountability
• Own forecasting, demand planning alignment, and inventory performance
• Analyse sell‑in / sell‑out data to identify growth opportunities
• Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance

Required profile

• 6–10+ years of experience in FMCG, beauty, or personal care
• Proven experience managing major Australian retail accounts
• Experience working with retailers such as MECCA, Sephora, Adore Beauty, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Myer, or David Jones
• Strong experience leading Joint Business Planning (JBP)
• Demonstrated success in commercial negotiation and trade investment management
• Experience managing multi‑million‑dollar retail portfolios
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret retail sales data
• Currently working in companies such as L'Oréal, Estée Lauder Companies, Shiseido, Unilever, Beiersdorf, Kenvue, SC Johnson or similar FMCG/beauty organisations (highly encouraged)
