Key Account Director

About the role

As a Key Account Director at Darktrace, you will own strategic accounts across ASX100 customers and prospects, driving the full sales cycle from lead generation to closure. You will work closely with internal teams and partners to expand relationships and meet ambitious sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities, map accounts and expand stakeholder relationships to achieve sales targets.
• Create and develop a robust sales pipeline through direct outreach, BDR collaboration and strategic partners.
• Lead project proofs‑of‑concept (POCs) with strategic‑scale opportunities and maintain partner collaboration.
• Drive commercial negotiations while aligning with partners to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and channel partners to address complex use cases.
• Map key accounts and build relationships with C‑level and senior executives.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in cybersecurity with a proven track record of full‑cycle sales at a strategic level.
• Ability to self‑source and develop a strong pipeline, leveraging both direct prospecting and partner‑led initiatives.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and strategic partners.
• Hunter mentality with experience building rapport with senior decision‑makers.
• Commitment to high standards of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced use of CRM and sales enablement tools.
• Experience in qualifying leads, pipeline optimisation and high‑value negotiations.
• Knowledge of compliance landscapes and strategic market positioning in cybersecurity.
