Junior Technical Support Analyst (Part‑time)

About the role

Standards Australia is seeking a Junior Technical Support Analyst to provide friendly, practical IT assistance to staff and approved vendors. Working onsite two to three days a week, you will be the first point of contact for Level 1 incidents and basic Level 2 troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log IT incidents and service requests via phone, email, and in‑person.
• Provide Level 1 support and basic Level 2 troubleshooting for end‑user devices, standard applications and SaaS platforms.
• Support meeting‑room and AV technology such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, displays, cameras and microphones.
• Escalate unresolved issues to specialist teams or vendors with detailed troubleshooting information.
• Assist with hardware and software setup, onboarding/off‑boarding tasks, and maintain accurate ticket notes.
• Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting common issues, tips and work‑arounds.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic junior‑level professional with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to follow documented Service Desk processes and meet agreed service levels.
• Willingness to work onsite and collaborate with other IT teams and vendors.

Required skills

• Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365
• Basic troubleshooting of Windows‑based laptops, mobile devices and printers
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms and standard office applications
• Experience with AV equipment (displays, cameras, microphones, Teams Rooms)
• Ticketing/Service Desk logging and documentation
