Junior Full Stack Developer

About the role

Genics is looking for an early‑career Full Stack Developer to join its Digital Solutions team. You will work on a live commercial platform, supporting day‑to‑day operations while learning to develop and maintain the company’s digital, laboratory and customer applications.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day business‑as‑usual digital tasks and provide first‑line support.
• Under mentorship, develop, test and maintain the customer platform built with PHP/Laravel.
• Write clean, scalable, testable and well‑documented code following team standards.
• Maintain and improve the Genics website and related digital tools.
• Perform routine data tasks, bug fixes and feature enhancements.
• Support development workflows for internal IT and digital systems.
• Document work and contribute to the team knowledge base (Confluence).
• Participate in agile processes and team culture using Jira/Kanban.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• At least 12 months of practical development experience (internships, freelance projects, or academic work) with demonstrable code samples.
• Strong attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Working proficiency in PHP and a modern MVC framework (Laravel).
