Junior Estimator – Security Solutions

About the role

Seme Solutions, a leader in access control, CCTV and security services, is looking for a Junior Estimator with a technical background. The role supports business growth by delivering accurate, competitive pricing for key customers across resources, corrections, justice, commercial, healthcare and defence sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare system designs and compile major project tenders/quotations from specifications and sales information.
• Produce tender submission documents, including drawings, write‑ups, responses to specifications, clarifications and schedules.
• Communicate with customers, attend site surveys and gather project data for tender preparation.
• Participate in tender review meetings and customer presentations to provide technical support.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best pricing and documented evidence for bids.
• Maintain quality‑assurance systems and provide equipment, cable and labour estimates.
• Collaborate with national sales managers and the sales team on a unified tender and pricing approach.
• Attend monthly national sales meetings to discuss delivery improvements and ongoing tenders.

Required profile

• Significant knowledge of security products, CCTV, access control, intercom and nurse‑call solutions.
• Strong analytical abilities and commercial experience in identifying contract risk.
• Proven risk‑management experience and ability to manage customer expectations.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and internal collaboration.
