Junior Draftsperson

About the role

CMW Geosciences is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Draftsperson to join its Perth team on a part‑time basis (3 days/22.5 hours per week). This role is ideal for students or individuals returning to the workforce who want to gain practical experience in geotechnical and environmental drafting within a supportive consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers and senior drafters in preparing technical drawings and documentation.
• Contribute to geotechnical and environmental drafting deliverables.
• Support project teams across infrastructure, mining, and land development sectors.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of work in line with company standards.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently completed a drafting or related discipline (TAFE or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Reliable, motivated and eager to gain practical industry experience.
• Ability to manage time effectively while balancing study or other commitments.
