Junior Data Scientist

About the role

As a Junior Data Scientist at Entain Australia & New Zealand, you will help us better understand our customers and shape their experience across our leading gaming and betting brands. Working alongside seasoned data scientists, you will contribute to building machine‑learning models and data‑driven solutions that drive personalisation, improve decision‑making, and support safer gambling initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to end‑to‑end data science projects from discovery through deployment.
• Support the development and testing of machine‑learning models to solve business problems.
• Analyse large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Risk, and Customer Operations teams.
• Communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Continuously learn and apply new tools, techniques, and best practices.

Required profile

• Foundation in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Understanding of core machine‑learning and statistical concepts.
• Curiosity and a desire to solve real‑world problems with data.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from others.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
