Junior Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to support a fast‑moving digital transformation programme within a national commercial real‑estate leasing team. The role is contract‑based and offers hands‑on experience in migrating, validating and governing property and lease data from legacy systems to a new unified platform.

Key responsibilities

• Support data quality assessments across property, lease and availability datasets prior to migration.
• Perform data cleansing, validation and reconciliation of structured data fields.
• Document data sources, ownership and accountability for Day‑1 readiness.
• Contribute to legacy system transition work, including impact analysis and testing assumptions.
• Prepare bulk upload files and assist with migrating offline spreadsheets (e.g., lease expiry registers) into the new platform.
• Liaise with brokers, analysts and team leads to gather requirements and validate data accuracy.
• Define readiness criteria and fallback approaches during system cut‑over.
• Document data workflows and support change‑management activities throughout rollout.

Required profile

• Degree (completed or near completion) in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field.
• Mandatory experience in the real‑estate sector.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleaning and formatting).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large, messy datasets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to explain data issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑starter attitude with the ability to work independently once briefed.
